Goals are good. At least for me they are. Yesterday I decided to make a goal for myself to enter the Golden Heart contest this year. For those you don’t know, the Golden Heart is the big contest for unpublished authors by RWA (they also have the Rita for published authors). I plan on entering the paranormal category, which covers paranormal, sci-fi, and fantasy (I personally don’t think they should lump them all together, but that’s the way they roll).
I’ve had an idea for a fantasy novel rolling around in my head for a couple of years. I started working on it yesterday and knocked out over 2,000 words.
